Filters cut open
To evaluate the filters in the local markets and show the problems of many of them we periodically cut open what we can buy locally or customer filters after changing them.
We started this practice before we started selling filters, just as part of a proactive maintenance approach to problem solving.
This section has some new filters and many used filters. We add to it frequently from what we find in order to see how they affect the equipment or how well they have stood up to use.
The sales rep for one of the brands shown, when presented with the results, asked me "On who's authority did you cut them open? You aren't supposed to see inside." I believe the customer needs to know what he is putting on his car.
