It has been almost 5 months since I got this pickup and I've finally gotten a chance to get back to Tarija to work on it.
In this time at least the majority of my parts have come. The bulk order from Mini Sport in the UK consisted of:
Wheel and tire package with spacer for rear
Complete front disk brake kit
Complete rear drum brake kit
Complete brake lines, braided hoses and master cylinder
Shock absorbers
Stainless front bumper
Front Panel, Grill, Mustache and interior release kit
Steering rack and tie rods
Wood dash
I went to the US and picked up some gauges.
The body shop has finally cleared out some room and started replacing the rusty panels from a donor Toyota mini-van. With the arrival of the tires we measured to start on the fender flares.
Digging into the body work on the front to find the seam for the new front panel, we came across several pounds of bondo.
Here we can see the previous patches to the floor and the modifications to the sub-chassis. All of this will be replaced.
